Suthra Punjab is a provincial project that was launched on December 3, 2024, and its aim is to systematically manage "solid waste / garbage" across Punjab (waste management + sanitation).
It claims to organize cleanliness, waste disposal, door-to-door waste collection, and recycling throughout the province through mid-scale supervisors, modern machinery, GPS/digital monitoring, a mobile app, and a helpline (1139).
Under the project, thousands of people received "green jobs / sanitation jobs," meaning it not only aims to reduce waste but also considers social and economic aspects.
